I am a web designer, I love to work with code, graphics, and layout. I am not a SEO Guru, or a social media expert- not by any means, but I know some! As of today I am in the market for a partner, a social media guru, a search engine expert, a promotion maven, whatever you want to call him/her, I am looking for them! The plan is to partner with someone that is amazing at what they do, and to offer their services to both new and past clients. So that along with my design and development skills, we will now create super optimized, fast loading, high ranking, top of the world amazing, beautiful professional sites! (Like that huh? You want one for yourself? Head on over to my quote page and we can set you up! (insert cheezy wink here)

I want someone that reads blogs like Social Implications for fun and really understands what they are reading. (Just kidding, that site is actually very helpful to even beginners in Social Media, see the article on Social Media Monsters for a good read!) Someone who is easy to talk to, not so business like that you feel you are nothing more than a number. Someone multi-talented, someone that can offer something to clients for less than a grand a pop, and someone who above all, loves what they do! This person will take over the SEO for this site, as well as post regular blog posts on topics they cover, someone that will not laugh (out loud) when they see an email time-stamped 3am with a subject line like “Have an Awesome Idea – we might CHANGE the world!” Cause I tend to get a lot of those late at night and would love someone as business minded as myself to look into these hair-brained ideas with me- we MAY just hit on the next big thing- you never know!

I am not looking for someone that wants to charge crazy amounts for things they can’t even list… You would be surprised, in helping my mother research good SEO companies for her Consulting Business, it seemed the more they charged the less their list of services made sense. It was so hard to figure out exactly what you were getting for $500 or more (a month!) My new partner will be able to say exactly what they do, and do exactly what they say. If you think you are that person, or you know that person- let me know!

I may be that person! I too am struck with ideas at the stroke of midnight, love writing – and have done my share of it…all of my services can and are listed at the time clients sign up, and periodically throughout their campain. I don’t do “mystery”, though I can see where it may be helpful to some of my less honest colleagues.

What I do “do” is provide any SEO/SEM service my clients need, based on their particular needs/requirements, that is why you will not see any prices listed on my site.

I am constantly reading blogs and expanding my horizons (the field changes so much, so quickly), and though my company has not been open long, I have been into SEO for a couple of years now.

I like that you know a little about SEO, it was a real struggle for me to “teach” my designer (who is so much smarter than me) how to design an SEO friendly site for me…I know a little about coding, but only as it relates to SEO and how to make minor changes.

Basically, what I need is an “in” to clients, to build my portfolio, and gain trust (since my company is so new). I am reliable, a hard worker, and I also have excellent help :) .

My site is currently under revision, but check us out. You can find my blog via the CommentLuv link, my company url is http://www.griffininfosolutions.com.

Even if we can’t do business together, I appreciate how candid you are. You are a terrific writer, and I look forward to speaking with you more, via twitter, here or facebook, it doesn’t matter.

Have a wonderful day, Eve!

But as far as i know designing and SEO combination is very lethal, Thesis is the live example, plus if you have heard about yoast , he is cool designer and seo expert. SEO is something which people are now often demand in their design.

Oh definitely Shanker- I know my way around SEO just fine and use it in all my designs. The person I partner with will be for AFTER I design, to help the client with the more advanced marketing and such that is needed by some.

I couldn’t imagine not including the SEO in the design, to me it is part of a well designed site- to be structurally sound and having all the tags or SEO plugins needed to succeed.

Some clients just want something more, not relating to the design to take them to the next level.

    Thanks for the comment!

Couple hints Eve.
SEO Rates are pretty much arbitrary and highly variable.

At it’s core SEO is all about the content, how high demand is, and how folks are going to be looking for that content and then using that info.

Before you settle on anyone, have them provide you examples of what they can do. Google and Yahoo index very quickly these days, and results can be had in less than a week.

Avoid anyone who tells you that they get get sites on the first page in a ridiculously fast period of time. Unless it’s for no competition phrases which mean no demand, it is either shady tactics or less than truthful self promotion. I put a post at the top of the SERPS no problem. But the text that put it there had 0 competition. Can I put someone at the top? Sure. Can I gaurantee that it will be at the top of the rankings they NEED? Ah, there’s the “trick:.

Good luck finding someone to fill the bill.

Thanks Paul! I have gotten some interesting applications already that are just soooo off from what I am looking for, one guy’s main site was a ‘link farm building site’ – and he was saying all the things you said not to believe!

This is definitely going to be a difficult search, but I am hoping I will find someone good. But I am not in any hurry so I am able to take my time and find the RIGHT person.
